Built By Adams was founded in 1976 (originally named Adams Construction) by George Adams, Jr. in Sanford, Maine and it was his commitment and dedication to building the best homes on the market that continues to drive our company today. Built By Adams has since been taken over by Ryan Adams, and we primarily build homes in York County with a focus on the Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, and Wells, ME markets.

Today, we are one of Southern Maine’s most respected and reliable home building and design firms with a reputation for providing great homes, outstanding quality, energy efficiency, and innovation into every home we build.

In 2006, Built By Adams became the 1st builder in York County to make a 100% commitment to build all of our homes to meet or exceed Energy Star home performance standards. Along with energy efficient building practices, Built By Adams homes offer healthy indoor air packages, energy efficient lighting, and greener building techniques to help build a home that is safe, comfortable, and performs the way it should.

At this time, we only build new homes within 30 minutes of Kennebunk primarily serving the towns of Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Arundel, and Wells. Scarborough is as far North as we can build and service and the Berwicks are as far South as we build in.
